How are weekday and Saturday tours different?

Onweekdays, visits must be reservedin advanced and there are guided tours by museum presenters for approx. 1 hour.On Saturdays, there are only self-guided tours and visitors can freely visit at any time during theoperation hours (09:00-17:00, last admission by 16:30) without time or hall restrictions.

Is there a fee for visiting the museum or participating in its learning/experience programs?

All programs at Samsung Innovation Museum are free.

When is the museum closed?

We are closed on Sundays, national holidays, miscellaneous holidays (Labor Day and substitute holidays), and the last day of every year (12/31).

In certain circumstances, we may close on other days, but temporary closings are announced on our homepage ahead of time.

How can I look around the museum without a docent?

You can enter the museum from 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays, through the parking tower at the main gate.

How long are the tours?

Our weekday guided tours are 70 - 90 minutes long.

Where is the museum?

Our address is: Samsung Innovation Museum, Samsung Electronics, Samsung-ro 129, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do.

You can drive or take public transportation to our museum. If you are going to use a GPS or a mobile map service, please search for "Samsung Innovation Museum."

The only visitor entrance to the museum is through the museum entrance connected to the parking tower at the Samsung Electronics main gate.

Please do not come through the main gate or the center gate of Samsung Electronics Digital City. For more information, please visit Introduction > Directions.

How do I make a reservation?

You can make a reservation on our homepage. You will receive reservation details via SMS or email.

If needed, you can change or cancel your reservation after signing into our homepage

(use your reservation number if you made a reservation as a guest).

Who can visit?

Anyone age 13 or older can visit. We also allow middle school students to tour the facility; however, elementary school students and younger children may only visit if accompanied by an adult. (1 adult is required for each 2 children.)

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are required on weekdays. You can make a reservation as early as a month prior or as late as 3 days before your visit.

On weekends, the museum does not offer tours, but you can still visit without a reservation.

What is an educational program? What programs are available?
S/I/M educational programs refer to learning and hands-on activities on the electronics industry and IT. There are academy programs where students can learn about the electronics industry and basic science, and experience Samsung Electronics’ brand, philosophy and technology. There are also invitational community programs that are designed to communicate and interact with the local community.
How can I participate in the educational program?

Methods of participation differ per program. Reservations can be made via website or email on a pre-book basis. For further details, please refer to the introduction page of each educational program on the website.

What language does the education program provide?

S/I/M's education programs are all in Korean.

How long are the educational programs?
Educational programs last for an average of 60 minutes, but may differ per program. Please refer to the introduction page of each program for detailed schedule. 
I made a reservation for the educational program, but I cannot make it due to unavoidable circumstances. How can I cancel the program?

Log in to the website > Click ‘My Page’ on the upper right end > Click ‘Educational Program Application History’ > ‘Cancel Application’.

Is there a participation fee for the educational program?
All educational programs at S/I/M are free of charge.
I have an old Samsung Electronics product, can I donate it?

Click the donation banner on the right side of the website’s main page to find details about the donation process. Please refer to the donation information and fill out the attached 'donation proposal’ and submit it via e-mail (sim.sec@samsung.com). We will contact you after the proposal has been reviewed.

Is parking available? Where do I park?
Parking is available. Use S/I/M reserved parking area (B1) on the 3rd basement floor (B3) of the S/I/M Parking Tower located across Samsung Digital City Main Gate.
Please note that you must show your S/I/M reservation confirmation message or email to enter on weekdays.
Are there lockers in the museum?

We have lockers on the 2nd floor of the Museum Gate Building. You can store your belongings in a locker before starting your museum tour.

Can I eat inside the museum?

You cannot eat anywhere inside the museum. The only exception is the nursing room for young children and babies.

Do I have to sign up for membership to be able to reserve a tour?

If you are a non-member, you only need to enter the required information to reserve a tour.

However, you must become a member to reserve a program.

Can I rent a wheelchair?

We have several wheelchairs for visitors. When you make a reservation, please request one in the [Special requests] section.

Can I take pictures in the museum?
Photography is allowed inside the museum. However, photography of the playing videos is prohibited and photography may also be limited in certain parts of the museum for the safety of exhibitions and protection of information. Also, photography with flash, tripods and for commercial purposes is prohibited. For press purposes, please contact S/I/M staff for consultation.
Can I take my pet to the museum?

Pets are not allowed since many people visit the museum. However, guided dogs for the blind and visually impaired are allowed to visit the museum.
